Treatment for Elbow Pain
Elbow pain responds very well to Acupuncture treatments. Most patients experience up to 100% pain relief and improved movement in the affected joint within seconds of acupuncture treatment. At Cork Acupuncture we often use other therapies such as Physical Therapy, Sports Massage, Acupressure or electro-acupuncture and Chinese Cupping when necessary.
What is Elbow Pain?
Tennis Elbow/ Lateral Epicondylitis
This typically refers to pain on the outside of the elbow and is usually sore while gripping objects or in more severe cases with any wrist movement. It can be experienced by office staff who use the mouse and keyboard for hours every day or people who play sports or activities involving repetitive movements
Golfers Elbow / Medial Epicondylitis
Is an overuse injury affecting the flexor-pronator muscle origin at the anterior medial epicondyle of the humerus.
It typically relates to pain on the inside part of the elbow. Again it can be experienced by people who do repetitive movements either in sports, work or in daily life.

Acupuncture works by invigorating the flow of qi (oxygen) and blood throughout the area in order to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and promote the body’s own healing ability. With associated techniques of electro-acupuncture and cupping, the best results can often be achieved.
Usually a course of 4-6 treatments can see the problem resolved.
